Care Homes
CCTV, door entry, fire systems, Wi-Fi and phones for care homes, designed around residents, staff and the regulator, and fitted around the running of the home.
What we fit for care homesFire & security
Fobs, keypads, readers and door entry systems that control who gets through which door, and give you a record of it, without making the building a nuisance to move around.
Access control is the quiet workhorse of a secure building. Done well, staff barely notice it: the door opens when they present a fob, locks behind them, and the office never has to change the locks again when someone leaves. Done badly, it is a daily irritation and a fire risk.
We fit Paxton systems, from a single controlled door to a whole site with dozens of doors and hundreds of users. That covers proximity readers and fobs, keypads, video and audio door entry, maglocks and electric strikes, request to exit buttons and break glass units. Every locked door on an escape route is chosen and wired so it releases on the fire alarm or a loss of power, and we check that with you against the building’s fire strategy before anything goes on the wall.
Because we also fit CCTV, the two work together: a door event and the camera covering that door line up in one place, which is the first thing anyone wants when something has gone missing.
In care homes, access control is as much about safeguarding as security: keeping residents who may wander safe behind controlled doors while staff move freely. In offices and multi-tenant buildings it is about who can reach which floor and when. Either way the design starts with a walk round and a conversation, not a catalogue.
Keys get copied, lost and never handed back. A fob or card can be cancelled the moment someone leaves, doors can be set to lock and unlock on a schedule, and you get a record of who came through which door. For a building with staff turnover, that is the whole case.
They must, and the design has to prove it. Locks on escape routes are chosen and wired so they release on the fire alarm or a power cut, and we walk the escape routes with you before we fit anything.
Yes. Pairing door events with camera footage is one of the most useful things a security system does, and it is far easier when one company fits both.
Through an intercom or video door entry panel that rings a handset, a desk or a phone, so someone can see who is there and let them in from wherever they are.
