Retail & Multi-Site
Cameras over the tills and the stock room, phones with a tannoy, Wi-Fi for the handhelds and cabling that survives a refit, for one shop or an estate of eighty.
What we fit for retail & multi-siteFire & security
IP camera systems for business premises, designed around the risks you actually have, fitted neatly and handed over with remote viewing, retention and signage set up.
A camera system is only as good as where the cameras point and how it is fitted. We start with a survey of the premises and a plain conversation about what you are trying to see: the till, the back door, the yard at night, the car park, the corridor where things go missing. Then we design the system around that, not around a kit list.
We fit Hikvision and HiLook IP cameras and recorders for most business work, with UniFi Protect where a site already runs on Ubiquiti kit. Cameras are chosen for the spot: wide views for open floors, colour at night for entrances and car parks, and people and vehicle detection so alerts mean something rather than firing every time a tree moves. Cabling runs in trunking or containment, not the quickest route, and every camera goes into a proper junction box.
Before we leave, the recorder is running, footage is viewable on your phone and desktop, and the people who need access have their own logins. We set the retention period and fit the signage your CCTV policy calls for. Every camera, recorder and serial number goes into your customer portal, along with the plan and the job photos, so whoever looks after the building in two years can find everything.
For multi-site estates we roll the same design out store by store and keep each site’s kit in its own register, so head office can see what is installed where.
Business premises are our day to day work: shops, care homes, hotels, offices, warehouses and multi-site estates. If you are a homeowner, ask, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
Yes, if the right camera goes in the right place. Modern cameras give full colour at night where there is a little ambient light, and infrared where there is none. We match the camera to the spot rather than fitting one model everywhere.
That is your decision as the data controller. We size the recorder for the retention period your CCTV policy needs, commonly around thirty days, and set it so the oldest footage overwrites itself. Longer retention just means a bigger drive.
Yes. A business running CCTV needs clear signage, a lawful reason, a retention period and a way to handle requests for footage. We fit the signs and set retention and user access to match your policy, and we will say plainly what the rules ask of you.
Usually, yes. If the existing cabling is sound we reuse it and replace the cameras and recorder, which keeps the cost down. If it is not sound, we will show you why before recommending anything.
